Setups
A setup is a whole look in one item: the animation styles for every moment, the taskbar look, the pointer set, the icon set, the island, widgets and where they stand, the theme, the accent, the outline, the glass and the sounds. It names the items it uses by their Workshop number, so one press gets everything it needs. It carries no wallpaper.
Make one on the Setups page: dress your desk as you like it and choose Save how my desktop looks. The picture is drawn from your own dock, bar and widgets on the sample desk, never from your screen. Share with friends gives a Workshop link or a code to paste.
The file
Every part is optional: a setup of a taskbar and a pointer set changes those two and leaves the rest alone. As it was on the Setups page puts back everything a setup changed.
| Field | Takes | What it does |
|---|---|---|
accent | string | |
bar | object | |
frame | object | |
glass | 0 to 100 | |

theme | light, dark | |
version | 1 to 1 | |
widgets | a list | Widgets and where they stand, from a corner of the main monitor's work area, in its logical pixels. |
What a setup cannot do
It cannot run anything or carry a file of its own: everything it wears is an item that went through the Workshop's own checks, named by its number. It never touches the wallpaper or anything outside the program's looks.
Checking and publishing
stillward-display.exe --check setup.json says whether the program takes it and which items it names. The schema is at /schema/setup.json.
